Beira is the coastal town in Mozambique that was ravaged by Cyclone Idai in March 2019. Despite the destruction this caused, Mozambicans keep on swinging.

"Dancing is the energy of life. Being together and having fun is important to deal with the trauma's we all have".

Many buildings had lost their roofs, but were quickly after the disaster covered with corrugated iron or plastic sheeting so life and dancing can continue.

Marrabenta, Pandza and Kizomba beats can't keep hips from swinging!

Special thanks to Sonia and Felipe for letting me enter their house before we dove into the night...
