Isabel Corthier (°1977, Belgium) is a visual artist and a documentary photographer, based in Antwerp, Belgium.
She focuses on stories of resilience and dignity in social realities across cultures.
Her work is internationally recognized in the art world and by humanitarian organizations.
She has the EP label (European Photographer) and she has acted as an official Fujifilm X-Ambassador.
Exhibitions worldwide, and some of her work is part of the permanent collection at the Smithsonian Air and Space museum in Washington D.C.
Awards include PX3 in Paris, William Klein MA-g award winner, FEP Golden Camera, .
Her photo and video contributions to the project 'The Commitment' lead in 2021 to a Gold Lion at Cannes for the Swiss charity organisation CCWD Center for Child Well-being and Development.
